TIM'S BIOGRAPHY:
Tim was born in Western Pennsylvania and began performing magic at the age of six. Immediately fascinated by the art of magic, Tim would video tape and study all the magic specials that appeared on television. At the 3rd grade talent show, Tim was chained, padlocked, and placed into the coat closet, from which he escaped. By age 11, he was performing for churches, lodges, and birthday parties. It was by doing as many of shows as possible at a young age that Tim honed his sleight-of-hand and showmanship skills.
At 16, Tim saw an ad for the Magi-fest magic convention held in Ohio. Accompanied by his family, Tim competed in his first competition and would meet some of the nation’s top magicians. By meeting these elite magicians, Tim began to learn from the best and compete in national and international contests. Before too long he would gain recognition from the multiple awards he won. Highlighted awards include:
- Best Stage Act-The Magicians Alliance of the Eastern States-2001
- First Place at the International Battle of Magicians-2004
- Silver Medal at the Columbus Magi-fest-2006
Tim had the honor of performing consecutive nights in front of 1,500 at the historic Palace Theatre in Ohio as part of the International Battle of Magicians headliner show. Two years later, Tim was 1 of 10 selected throughout the world to perform at the World Magic Seminar held in Las Vegas, Nevada, which is sponsored by world famous magicians Lance Burton, and Siegfried and Roy. During the week long Seminar, Tim had the opportunity to train with Lance Burton, and other world class illusionists.
While in college earning his bachelor’s degree, Tim continued to hone his showmanship skills. He took acting classes as well as martial arts to help with his hand-eye coordination as well body movement, which is useful in movement and stage blocking techniques.
In 2007 Tim traveled to Canada to study and train with the World Champion of Magic; Greg Frewin. This was a great honor for Tim because Greg is one of the top illusionists in the world, and has appeared on many NBC and ABC magic television specials. While studying in Canada, Tim focused intensely on designing a stunning show with never before seen illusions. He also used this time to train and develop a one of a kind bird act unlike any other in the world.
He continues to develop new and exciting magic for his audiences while staying active as a member of the following organizations for illusionists:
- The International Brotherhood of Magicians
- The Magicians Alliance of the Eastern States
- The Society of American Magicians
Tim also has worked with and performed for multiple non-profit organizations. Some of these organizations include:
- American Cancer Society
- Children’s Hospital
